Mr Jones stated ”Every person in the caucus of the Labor Party knows that Julia Gillard is a liar, everybody. I will come to that in a moment. The old man recently died a few weeks ago of shame. To think that he had a daughter who told lies every time she stood for Parliament,” Jones said.
His off-the-cuff comments were made at what he described as a ”hell of a rollicking night” at a Sydney University Liberal Club dinner nine days ago.
Mr Jones has made an apology over this remark, and attempted to apologise to Gillard, but or PM would not allow him to do so.
Former prime minister Kevin Rudd said Mr Abbott should “sack” Jones from the Liberal party and ban him from attending any future Liberal events.
”You cannot simply try and crabwalk your way out of this,” Mr Rudd said. ”Mr Abbott needs to show some leadership and turf this bloke out of his party and make sure his party has nothing to do with him in the future.”
Mr Jones is not a member of the Liberal Party.
Mr Rudd said he would boycott Jones’s program.
”I certainly won’t be going on it and usually for my better health over the years I’ve not listened to it either,” Mr Rudd said. ”So I think it’s just time to give his program just a wide berth. I think that’s the sensible attitude to be adopted around the country and I think that would be good as well.”
As Kevin Rudd doesn’t go on the show, and doesn’t listen to the show, how in fact does HE boycott a show he does not go on or listen to already ????
A interesting concept to sack a person who is not a member, but since when has the facts got in the way of a ALP argument, or even a policy for that matter. Of course Mr Rudd is expecting what he himself failed to do over the disgraceful conduct of Belinda Neal.
RENEGADE Labor MP Belinda Neal spat in the face of a waiter as she told him “I will have your f…ing licence”, according to yet more claims surrounding the Iguanas nightclub scandal.
Club staffers who originally complained about Ms Neal and her husband, demoted senior minister John Della Bosca, have told A Current Affairthat her behaviour was even worse than first stated.
Club operations manager Jared Golla said he had approached Ms Neal after she had entered into a dispute with two junior staff members.
“I approached Belinda Neal and introduced myself … and I asked Belinda Neal what her name was,” he said. “At that time she yelled at me and actually spat in my face…
“She pointed at Tom Crocker and said this guy is rude and arrogant…he’s smug…I want him sacked and I want you to report to me after it’s done.
“She also pointed at Daniel Richardson I want him sacked as well … Both of my young staff members had their heads down. They were in complete shock.”
She was not sacked from the Labor Party
Ms Neal then turned around and said: “I don’t care if you call the f-ing police, don’t you know who I am?” Mr Golla said
And again she was not sacked from the Labor Party
Ms Neal has attacked her husband’s ex mistress also.
Ms Neill crossed the road; Ms Neal followed her. She doubled back the way she came and the ex-politician turned in pursuit, according to the AVO application tendered by police.
Eventually, outside a cafe in the middle of King St, Ms Neill – whose affair with Mr Della Bosca ended almost two years ago – turned and asked Ms Neal what she was doing.
Ms Neal allegedly exploded: “You are nothing but a f … ing prostitute. You’re a f … ing whore. F … you.”
Belinda Neal was not sacked from the Labor Party
KATE Neill has told a court of how she “completely freaked out” when she was confronted by Belinda Neal who allegedly said to her “my husband only liked you because you lay open your legs for him.” Police are applying for a personal violence order on Neill’s behalf following a “verbal confrontation” between the two women in Newtown on April 6.
She was not sacked from the Labor Party
Ms Neill has told the hearing today that she had a six-month relationship with former state Labor minister John Della Bosca a few years ago, which she says she “discontinued” upon discovering he was still married to Ms Neal, former Federal MP.
Again Ms Neal was not sacked by the Labor Party
The Prime Minister ordered Ms Neal to attend counselling as a result of the claims instead of sacking her.
The same year, Ms Neal told Liberal MP Sophie Mirabella in Parliament that her child would turn into a “demon” if she thought “evil thoughts”.
She was not sacked from the Labor Party
Belinda Neal was also forced to defend allegations she kicked a fellow player on the soccer field while the woman was down.
She still was not sacked from the Labor Party
FORMER federal Labor MP Belinda Neal is one of at least two former directors of the Central Coast Mariners soccer club to be hit with a $1.5 million bill over unpaid tax.
The wife of former NSW health minister John Della Bosca is being sued by the Australian Taxation Office. The Mariners, one of several A-League clubs struggling financially, last month denied it was on the verge of handing its operating licence back to Football Federation Australia.
The claim against Ms Neal was lodged in the Supreme Court in February, alleging the company behind the Mariners didn’t pay $1.45 million in tax and penalties dating back to December 2009.
Again we see a Labor Minister that while she was in Office was alleged to have been involved with Taxation Fraud. To date Ms Neal has not been sacked from the Australian Labor Party.
So Mr Rudd whose credibility was a little below 0 at the start has certainly showed the double standards that exist in the parties, trough his own actions of failing to sack one of his MP’s when he was PM.
